The 2020 IWCA Annual Convention is your one-stop shop to get the hands-on training that makes for a safe, skilled and confident window cleaner. In addition to the full slate of educational sessions included with your registration, the annual convention hosts special event training events the day before the convention officially opens.
OSHA 10-Hour Training Course

Larry has over 30 years of industry experience and uses that experience to present situational examples during the training. This is your opportunity to receive your OSHA 10-hour Card showing your commitment to safety in your window cleaning operation. This OSHA course covers general industry hazards not specific to those working construction only jobs. The course highlights improving compliance communication, training at the work site, fall protection, hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. Special emphasis is also placed in reviewing the Updated OSHA Walking-Working Surface Regulation. This regulation affects not only those individuals who do Rope Descent System (RDS) type of work, but any work that relates to the need for Fall Protection. Courses taught by official OSHA outreach trainers price in the range of $349 dollars, but thanks to the generosity of our training sponsor J. Racenstein the first 30 IWCA members that register can take this course for only $60 dollars. Non-member may enroll at a cost of $125, as a convention add-on or as a stand-alone training course. The OSHA 10 course will take place across two days, Wednesday, January 22 from 1-6pm and Thursday, January 23 from 10:30-5:30pm.*
*Convention attendees will be able to attend the opening keynote session and the evening welcome party on Thursday, but will miss the first round of educational sessions. The Wednesday training sessions run concurrently, so if you are registered for OSHA 10 you will not be able to complete IWCA Safety Training or Sunbelt Lift Training.
Sunbelt Permit & Lift Training
Presented by Sunbelt Rentals.
This training covers the responsibilities of owners, users and operators, workplace and pre-start inspections, operational hazards, and accident prevention. The course includes in-classroom and hands-on training for aerial work platforms.
Class size is limited to the first 50 enrolled. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The course will be offered as a convention add-on at a cost of $110 per registrant. Sunbelt Lift Training will be held Wednesday, January 22 from 8am-5pm.*
*The Wednesday training sessions run concurrently, so if you are registered for Sunbelt Lift Training you will not be able to complete IWCA Safety Training or OSHA 10.
IWCA Safety Training

The IWCA Safety Training is included with full conference registration, but you must RSVP to indicate you will attend. We will also offer this course as a stand-alone purchase, at a cost of $155 to IWCA Members and $220 for non-members. RSVP required; walk-ins limited. IWCA Safety Training will be held Wednesday, January 22 from 8am-5pm.*
