SAIA “Competent Person Training – Suspended Scaffold”
This program is designed for suspended-scaffold users and covers all the safety aspects regarding suspended-scaffold stages, ropes, regulations, guardrail requirements, fall protection, hoists and installation components. The course format includes a combination of presentation, question-and-answer and final exam. SAIA Training ONLY for SAIA, IWCA, SWRI members $300; SAIA Training additional to your IWCA Convention registration for safety training registration for $285; SAIA Recertification $40. First Time Attendee Coffee
This event gives first time attendees the chance to mingle with each other, advocate their companies and introduce themselves to the current IWCA Board of Directors in a more intimate setting.
Women in Industry Luncheon
IWCA Convention has scheduled a special “Women in the Industry” roundtable luncheon. Enjoy lunch with extra time of networking with other women who are involved in our industry. It will be a great opportunity to make connections while putting together a community of peers you can reach out to when you have a question. Simply register for the Convention and mark that you will be attending this event.
Breakfast Roundtable Discussions
Probably the most valuable part of the Convention is the networking opportunities. Where else can you meet fact-to-face and bounce ideas off of others that have experienced the same challenges over breakfast at one of the roundtable discussions. Start your Thursday and Friday with hot coffee and hot industry topics. Each table will have a special topic and a moderator. Pick a topic that interests you and get ready for the ideas to flow and build valuable connections.
Sunbelt Rentals Permit and Lift Training
(Add-on event – Registration is limited to 50 people)
Ariel Work Platform Operator Training-each attendee will receive classroom and hands-on training on the safe and proper way to operate Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts and Personnel Lifts as per the OSHA regulations and training requirements. Each attendee will receive a wallet card of completion upon successful completion of both the classroom and hands-on training. Please wear work clothes and work boots for the hands-on portion of this training.
The Charity Cleaning: Boys & Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Clubs provides a positive, safe and fun environment to help 17,800 youth of all ages and backgrounds develop the qualities needed to reach their full potential. The Club offers more than 100 youth development programs emphasizing five core areas including: the arts; character and leadership development; education and career development; health & life skills; and sports, fitness and recreation.
Speed and Medley Contest
Throughout the day, contestants will compete on the Trade Show floor on the stage for a chance to win the 2017 Speed Contest and 2017 Medley Contest. The Contests will run concurrently.

Auction and Awards Banquet
The IWCA Charity Auction is the perfect opportunity for you to give back to the community. Just prior to the start of the Awards Banquet, attendees will be able to bid on items that were donated by our membership with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale.
